Finally November 15th arrived, OTTO DAY! Time to drive 550 miles to bring home Imperial Storm Shadow du pays de l'Aurore Boréale. We set off very early in the morning to the Channel Tunnel and then drove to Reims to meet Peggy Kasprzykowski and her husband for the exciting handover. We had a coffee together and chatted Lappies (and gesticulated quite a lot) and then it was time to say our fond farewells.
It was so lovely to finally meet Otto in the fur (and Peggy of course!) - he didn't disappoint at all, having super bone and coat and the sweetest of dispositions. He was clearly a very confident pup and this continued throughout the journey, whether he was being cuddled by me (a complete stranger) or being checked for his microchip at passport control or even once we finally got to Lucie and Hayden's in Surrey - he simply took it all in his stride, tail wagging and always eager for fuss.
Lucie tells me he has settled in really well, amazing in fact, he's met many dogs, been to training class and made lots of friends and gained a few fans - hardly surprising as he is so gorgeous! I am so excited to have him in my breeding programme and to know that he will be giving Lucie and Hayden a fantastic experience of Lappy ownership.
Thanks again Peggy for everything ! :-D
