In August a group of nine of us (eight of which are part of the TabanyaRuu 'family' either owning a TabanyaRuu or owning an import with me) went to Helsinki to soak up the atmosphere of the World Dog Show and also to have a mini break of sightseeing. I won't go into too much detail here about the trip, because my good friend Jennifer of Infindigo Kennel has already done it brilliantly on her blog! You can read all about it (the dog show & the sightseeing) here, but suffice to say it was an amazing experience for us all!
One of the hi-lights for me was to see dogs I've much admired on the Internet, along with those I've either used at stud or had collected. The real icing on the cake though was to cuddle Salo's two brothers!

It was so lovely to see Petra again - I last saw her when I flew to Finland with T. Peppi five years ago & used her homebred Fin Ch Cantavia Leijonamieli 'Jeppe'. It was also so nice to meet owners that I have become friends with on Facebook along with other breeders from USA, Canada, France & Australia as well as meeting up again with those I've met before, such as Jukka Kuusisto from Lecibsin Kennel Finland and Peggy from Du Pays De l'Aurore Borealis Kennel in France, both of whom I have imported dogs from.

Meeting Multi Ch Fihtolas Gateway who had travelled from France with his owner Manuel from Kennel Artic Cobaka, was such a thrill. He is so laid back, just gorgeous and I was delighted when he was also awarded Excellent! He is the sire of my Kantri Litter, the first chilled AI litter to be born in the UK.

The video above is part of the Champions Class entering the ring - gives you some idea of the sheer volume of dogs (and noise!). Below is a selection of photos taken both at the show & whilst out & about - these included dinner one evening in a restaurant with its very own microbrewery - it's just a small snapshot but I think you can tell we had FUN! Who's up for Milan next year?! :-)
